Days go swiftly by. I wonder where they went. Many minutes wasted and idle hours spent. If I had only known... how quickly the years would fly. ~~~~~~ Old photographs, now faded from the years, bring back memories of laughter and of tears. If I had only known... I would have paused for one more laugh. ~~~~~~ Loved ones of mine call to say 'Hello'. It seems, all too soon, they always have to go. If I had only known... I would have said 'I love you' one more time. ~~~~~~ If I had only known how quickly the end would come, how swiftly the bell would toll, how short a race I would run. If I had only known... what a different legacy I would bestow. ~~~~~~ |
