~A Simple Prayer Of Thanks~

I lift my eyes and start to pray
Thank you Lord for this fine day
I’ve had the fortune to be free
I’ve walked in truth and liberty

I’ve not been hurt or been ill
I’ve had the chance to do your will
Hunger hasn’t held me bound
I’ve not lain upon the ground

Fortune hasn’t passed me by
I’ve not heard a baby cry
The rain hasn’t poured on me
I've seen the face of beauty

Thank you Lord for all of this
For blessing me with such bliss
Love, truth and sweet liberty
Thank you Lord for loving me

You know what Marsha? I LOVE THIS... I always pray a prayer of thanks for everything I have. God knows our needs and I feel I don't have to be always asking for something. But I do have to thank Him every single day for all the blessings He has given me. I love this very very much. Great write. floria
