 Losing Both Of Me I used to live for what the mighty sun could bring me Now, I beg the skies to hear her Mama's cries I'm not even sure I know how to live God's plans these days I'm just too weak to even look the world in the eyes... Through the long and narrow I must have walked it a million times As I sadly pass through the halls of silence and calm My destination is always her empty room before me And, each time you'll find me there just reaching on... So, now it's not a matter of what the mighty sun can hand me I've lived too long drowning, without her, in this sea of grief I have never known blue to come in this many shades God, you just don't know what it's like losing both of me... I've found pleading on knees doesn't lessen the miles between us There's just the shell of who I was left in every tear cried Her silhouette hangs in every imaginable place I see God, I just have to know how many times must I die?... I can't rely on the winds to whisper her Mama's words so she'll hear Can't even rely on the air that I breathe No faith in the waters that fall that revives all life For, hope diminished in the middle of losing both of me... It's agony that surely fills these walking shoes Misery clings onto any moment it finds to take Losing both of me leaves a soul without an identity to claim And, a little life falls with every bit of heart that breaks...
