Memorizing You
By Larry Chadwick

If I could memorize the mysteries of you,
Would it be enough to carry me through
The challenge of being so far apart.
The first thing I’d memorize is your heart.

Then I’d look long into your face,
Memorizing your beauty and your grace.
I’d run my hands all through your hair,
Remembering what they felt like there.

And hopefully you wouldn’t really mind,
I’d like to memorize your cute behind.
Though I’m not often a man who begs,
Would you also let me memorize your legs?

Do you mind if I study this view awhile,
I’d really like to remember your profile?
And yes I even have the nerve,
To want to memorize your curves.

And since I’m actually doing nuttin’,
I fully intend to memorize your button.
If you’ll give me the chance,
Let me memorize how you dance.

Though I like the way you wiggle,
Please help me remember how you giggle.
I’d rather not remember how you weep,
But I’d love to memorize how you sleep.

Then help me with my choice,
I’d like to memorize your voice.
And because I know your always there,
I plan to remember how much you care.

It’s now that I begin to realize,
There is so much of you to memorize.
But it has to last while we’re apart,
It will protect me from a broken heart.

I like the way you outlined this Larry.
You are quite the artist when something
beautiful catches your eye and keeps you
focused.
