Relinquishing the Night

The gentle glow of dawn
leans into the early hour,
pushing against the horizon
luring me to its blush of rose
that blooms slowly above
the crest of the hill.

just as a fragile flower
slowly turns its petals,
revealing the unique design
of its delicate slihouette,
enticing me to gaze deeply
into the sensual eye
of an orchid.

I am surrounded by
the softness of the moment,
the power of nature
ever moving
toward newness,
that enfolds me in
the pastel pleasures of dawn.

And I am no longer hesitant
to relinquish the night
as its starry bliss disappears into
a purple veil of peace

it was incredibly beautiful and warm outside when i woke up this morning. after reading this, i feel the same way... inside.

'beautiful' is the perfect descriptor for this work of art.

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, flowers and stars fill your gorgeous visions always, sweet friend, may your garden of your heart bloom with rosea and may the night feather them with the enchantment of moonlit dreams bound to last forever! It's snowing where I live, so thank you for bringing a bit of spring to me.

Oh my .... Liz, this is stunning. It's not only the imagery brought forth in your words, but the emotions this conjurs within the mind. Simply beautiful, my friend.

Best wishes,
/Kit
