I gently slip
into the night,
upon the wings
of angel’s flight.
Above the clouds
of heaven’s floor,
Unto the fields
of evermore.
Beyond the pain
of man’s existence,
No more the pull
of sin’s resistance,
Eyes now sightless,
yet I see,
The verdant plains
of heaven’s lea,
As gently slip
into the night,
Seeking out
eternal light.

Dear Tim

This is poetry with sofe and gentle flow. If only Death was as peaceful as you describe, no one would fear it. I wish that our Queen Mother went the way you describe.

Good work.

The heights by great men reached and kept
Were not attained by sudden flight,
But they while their companions slept
Were toiling upward in the nigh
