Between the Lines

Cooking away my pain,
grounding the meat,
seasoning with distaste
of this year past.
Assuring myself
I will not go hungry
without your love.

The aroma, intoxicating,
spicing my thoughts of another,
as my hands busily fold into
the memories of a taste,
kissing my fingers, remembering...

Placing into my life of plastic,
sealing, to freeze the wonderful thoughts
that replace those swallowed earlier,
of bitter words, salted to tears.

One day, I will be joined by another,
to feed upon desires, to taste
new memories, enjoy the moments
that todays skills have not wasted.

hmmmm spaghetti and meatballs...stuffed mushrooms, jellied meatballs... I am grinding and producing them all..*s then will work on that ham and lamb *s

(smiles) Ooohhhhhh...yes...spaghetti, and then you can share that same strand with the one you love like in Lady And The Tramp on a Bella Norte! (kiss on cheek) I bet you are a wonderful cook too just as you are a wonderful poet and friend, sweet friend, we all love you so much! you are too much Noah..I don't thnk I will be sharing a strand with anyone..but I will keep that in mind for another night lol

you really make me smile...and yes I am a better cook then even I thought after 30 years of never being able to predict when a meal would be shared.. thanks
