You are the sweetest sis of my heart
Brightening my days like only you can do
I have not the words to adequately express my thanks
Just know how much I love you

Ours is a bond that is ageless
It's a friendship and a sisterly thread woven deep
You're there to share with me the good times
There to hold my hand when I need to weep

I feel that I have known you always
That you've been a part of my life forever
Perhaps it's your gentle loving soul that makes me at ease
All I know is I adore our time spent together

You make me laugh right out loud
Also make me cry tears of joy too
I've always wanted a big sister all my life
I finally found the best in you

You know just what to say when I'm sad
Never judging me for who I am or calling me a name
You just accept me good parts and bad
How you want me to treat you, you treat me the same

You're more than just a friend though
You truly are a sister of my heart and soul
You picked up my pieces that were left on the floor
Giving me the courage to build myself again whole

Now that I've found my true happiness and love
I feel that I owe you this poem and so much more
Forever we will be sisters, sweet Marsha
And you I will always adore

Amy darling lil sis of my heart, what can I possibly say to this except thank you with all my heart. But you know there’s no reason to thank me, I could no more stop loving you thank I could will myself to stop breathing. You are the lil sister of my heart, the sparkle in the star, the music in the early morning sky, the reason in the rhyme.
