She reminded me Of the sea Eyes of green Changed color with each Passing shadow or turn Of head to again look At waves of people Rushing to and fro Back and forth As she Washed upon the senses Of any who paused to look Still storms brewed In the depths of her And if the barometer smile Fell lower she would indeed Become tempestuous Threatening safe harbor Of anyone moored in her heart She reminded me of the sea With beaches inviting languor Soaking warmth in wet comfort But hurricane season is near And the flags are out |

Thank You Martie... nature is a perfect metaphor for what is inside of us... plus it is something I can halfway understand. People on the other hand..( chuckling) are not always so evident. |

CPatHair~ I liked everything about this write~ How cleverly you introduce us to the stormy 'green eyes'~ There is a soft undercurrent running through this one~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

She reminded me of the sea With beaches inviting languor Soaking warmth in wet comfort But hurricane season is near And the flags are out The calm before the storm, then the storm...she is both, I think. |

Still storms brewed In the depths of her And if the barometer smile Fell lower she would indeed Become tempestuous Threatening safe harbor Of anyone moored in her heart Those are some wonderful lines, certainly is one way to send out a warning! Oh my, I loved this storm watch! |
