A Rosebud

I see the flower of beauty in the deepness of your eye
Unfolding softly to the starry distance of the sky
As though the night surrounds you with a peace you’ve never known
For love has touched a rosebud, now the rose is fully grown

I see the flush of beauty in the shadows of your face
And the sculptor of a woman in a fragile veil of lace
So strange the apparition of a child in disguise
A fragrant little rosebud in the deepness of her eyes

The secrets now have been disclosed, your heart has been embraced
By someone dear who saw beyond the beauty of your face
The rosebud has unfolded for the sunlight to consume
But now your beauty sparkles in the whiteness of the moon

And all the stars have recognized
The depth of grace within your eyes

Liz

She will love the beauty with which you see and write of her.  Just so lovely!

What a soft, beautiful tribute for your daughter.

Take care,

Ah, good...before I scrolled to the end of this, I had thought This should be given to a daughter... and you did...Should she ever know what was in your heart for her, this tells it quite well...

I would give anything to have been seen this way even once. *S*

This is so beautiful, Elizabeth... perfect poetry but perhaps more important... abundant love and pride shining brightly enough to bring tears to my eyes. *S*
