Bold not Gold I rage at life’s idiot’s lee That slim that crawled from out the sea. And developed into a man That still can’t grasp the primal plan. How much longer must we evolve? To grow into a firm resolve And is there time for that to be? Or start again from out the sea? I put the blame upon our self For storing things upon the shelf For hunter-gatherer cannot see Beyond the stomach that is he I rage at our stupidity We’ve multiplied acidity And now it eats our garden fair We’ve poisoned land, water and air. And crying out to God forgive Cries primitive indicative. |

"For hunter-gatherer cannot see Beyond the stomach that is he" Oh boy ... I could copy each phrase in this piece and say it is my favorite Sy, but it's the entire piece that is superb. This is something I can relate so very strongly to ... and you've captured the frustration and futility I feel as we watch "ourselves" continue on in this world, taking .. taking ... and so rarely giving. An excellent, and powerfully emotive piece for me this morning. Thank you for this. Very well written! Best wishes, /Kit |

Both young and old ... need to heed your poetic scold. There is truth to be told ... not all in life is bought and sold. We will be left out in the cold ... when we break Nature's mold. In your pen the wisdom will unfold ... We best wise up or we wont be here when we're old. See...I listen to every word you say Yer so cool *ww* Of all the things in me I could never be, |

You've edged the ledge with words that hedge upon our own demise you've walked to talk without balk who hears the silent cries? |

Who else should we ask? Well done Sy. Well done, indeed! Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |

Seymour darling boy OH my goodness this is a deep and thought provoking poem. Only YOU could have written this, and I thank you for it as always your rhyme and rhythm is perfect darling boy. I shall never fear while the planet has souls such as you looking out for her. Because the land does speak and it’s those who listen to her that understand. Wonderful writing as always, you really do have a magic quill darling heart. Absolutely fabulous I love it utterly Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |

Sy, much truth here....and we continue our destruction each moment of every day...in our quest to become more powerful, more rich...and ultimately...more stupid... Thank You for this...love the flow and your always evident message.. |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Seymour, this is so very sad but true, it too hurts me deeply to see people now given the impression of taking and how they fail to give and how stupidity seems to overlook us in the process and how it is tearing us all apart! (sad sigh) My heart cries out to all of mannkind, sweet friend, this is so sad but well-written, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
