No Ending Written

The cold still grips this land I know
it thaws just like these memories
a fading crystal, a stranger’s soul
but time has rot its frailties

Where are you my guiding light?
that wanton spirit of beggars love
the muse of heart, my storm held kite
the kiss, the laugh… my summers dove

The embers of this fire grows
the night, the night… the lonely night
and sleep sings whispers in the cold
in gusty feathers of frozen whites

I fade from here to futures unknown
where spirits thrive on gifts of hope
no endings written, no plot is known
a tireless searcher,  for a heart of gold.

Sartre would affirm the opinion of no beggining nor end. And yet you clearly elucidate hope exists. That must be a wonderful gift- hope.

Thank you for sharing your insight.

Park, any comment I can think of to put after this seems inadequate.
So lets just say 'I read and enjoyed it'

P-man, this is exquisite writing...
what an achingly beautiful piece this is...
and your cadence is poetry in motion, it was melodic when read aloud.
If I were truly a poet...Id write you a happy ending
but since you are (a poet) and "a tireless searcher" I know you are going to write the perfect ending and hang the moon when you do.

Of all the things in me I could never be,
of the true I kept hidden from view,
the best parts of my heart ...
were the ones touched by you.

Parker,

this is exquisitely written, full of
such emotion...beautiful in both rhyme
and cadence, the meter is perfect. i read

even more than the first...as for your
ending im sure it will be nothing short
of fantastic! wonderful write!

take care.

Sigh - another heart rendering poem, Park.
Have you not heard, it's the journey not the ending that counts?

Ah, well, hope this is based on fiction and the facts are much brighter.

Janet, oxygen who needs it I can hold my breath for a long time.

Corinne, well true but the hunter can only hunt for so long before he starves... but sometimes the small game can be very tasty...
