Alchemy

Its never simple is it...
the connecting of dots
to string lines
from one place to the other.

Perhaps Just a line drawn
to hang your laundered feelings
So pinned on to tensioned string
they do not drag in grime of shifting ground
but are soaked with so many drops
from wet slung sighs of wind

When you bring them in
touched so somewhere between here and then
the essence has changed and
the dots you connected refuse to lie flat
and even ironed the wrinkled creases remain

Is it the purple air
now mixed within the gray
that has twisted the line dried thought
that brings ions insight into play

Is shortest distance a straight line
when travail of mountain pass and desert
send the line to flail against the pounding of the tides
again and yet again bumping into rock
before the finding of the other dot

No Its never simple is it...
the connecting of the dots
the stringing of lines
from one place to the other.

but it's worth buying all that string
in passions search for one connecting dot
that in penciled line from last connects the rest
for then in coloring between the lines
you might find the rainbow best
_____
with thanks to River for running by me again

I'm sure liking River's alchemy when mixed with your pennings...seems to me we've got a whole lot of panning of gold to do when we open up one of your posts....

(smiles) Wow, I know what you mean, sweet friend, it seems much of the time we are all thinking of connecting the dots but it always proves to be so difficult when the true magic of discovering lifes colors is to work between the lines and tend to our poetic laundry everyday! (kiss on cheek) This is a gorgeous magical thought, sweet friend, your words are always so wonderfully enchanting! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Martie,
I sure do enjoy reading you.
This is so remarkably simple in the connecting of the dots...Brilliant
It isn't as easy to see when you are unknotting all that string is it? Thanks.

I like this analogy, connecting dots on a life line.  Very thoughtful.  Enjoyed.
