Your Titles In My Poem
(A Love Poem)

I saw you, a poet in love
under cotton sky
upon the hills of vale below

weaving the quilt of sun in set
to dance in moonbeams of blue.

Through eyes communication
your chestnut gaze of a gentle touch
caresses the pages of me
writing in whispers upon my skin
of yes, darling, you are free,
welcome to my soul.

And heaven's light shines
through you, my beacon of hope,
my allure,
my soul mate
breathless
in dreams come true
in the kiss of hearts made whole.

How boundless and beautiful is love
composed in the poetry of fate
through the blending of colors
in rainbow swirls of us
as our lives are strung together
in perfect harmony.

And though the night becomes the dawn
you'll always have my heart.

In the once again of purple twilight
I will think of you

and take flight love
through the multitude of color,
lost in you

to soar through our promised sky.

That was just too clever, and reading the poem in two version was so cool!  I loved the whole thing Melissa, but the message from the part bolded was more intense when you took the other words away.  Does this have a name (the form) or were you creating something.  If you were, you just taught me something valuable - less is sure more!  This was absolutely beautiful.

Thank you for reading my lil' creation   This really is fun!  It takes a life of it's own once you get started.

Actually, this is the second 'titles in my poem' that I've done.  I wrote one a few forums ago and I forget who originated it.

Anyways, thanks to BluesSerenade for bringing it back!

my moody muse needs to try this sometime.
very cool melis...like how ya worked your soulmate theme in there

Of all the things in me I could never be,
of the true I kept hidden from view,
the best parts of my heart ...
were the ones touched by you.
