Double with a twist
drinking you whole as I savor and sip
you'll always have my heart
as there is no where else I would rather be
in conversation we speak
through our eyes communication
little leora waits patiently
blending into the flowers on the wall
like me, wanting to sing your song
as I lie down with me
but never alone
we are two very special people
sailing the magnificant seas
as the wind billows
our ships crossing there
cradled in the sunset
at the end of the day
time to back off a little
warning to a hostess named Nan
minding my manners
so as not to have a lock on my poems
my intentions are good
but often come out all wrong
my words rush in a breathless hush
it is what I've grown accustomed to
welcome to my soul
I've no answers to the questions
no matchlink.com to win
a chickenchicken little
who has stumbled across the road
in search of the pot of gold
where the blending of colors
really do transform
on the wings of an angel in deep blue
yes, darling, you are free
to be, to come and go
for I will always be here
among this garden of roses
we planted together so long ago
and when a north wind frenzy blows
I hope you will remember me
we mixed but we're not a match
a fate of fools
falling
succumbing to
the test
spread out for all to see a
Quilt of sun in set
searching for dreams to come true
guided by a beacon of hope
and all that you make me
when I am gone, and am no more
forever I will rise
upon moonbeams of blue~
recieving healing
beneath the light
of a thousand eyes
I will always keep a star for you
through the spring and summer
lighting my life
through winter's fall~~

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Sorry for the lack of punctuation
I took all the titles that were at the top
and strung them together in record time.
This was fun for me to write, I hope you
don't mind and will enjoy~

(smiling)...I want to see you model that dress again... I liked the way you turned just so in the mirror...

Very clever...it is amazing how the titles themselves can tell a story..

How clever and it made a great poem

Take care,

What a great idea, Lori...
Maybe we should make this a new challenge.
Yours came out beautifully...
What do you think of the challenge idea?

How cool is this??? Cool, very, very cool. You strung these together perfectly.

Cpat~ I love that skirt of mine.
Was just playing dress up, it's the little kid in me that likes to prentend she's a grown up!     Thanks.  You're so right the titles are a story in themselves.
btw, I'll take two twists and an olive.

Melissa~ Thanks for reading I had such fun putting it together, considering it was already half written for me.  Nice to hear from you.

Lyra~ I like the challenge idea, not sure how to go about that though.  By the time I had posted there were more titles to choose from and they had changed in the order.
I literally went down the list at the time.
Nice to see you here dear heart and I hope your day was a restful one.

Noah~ I love that phrase, "coined"
it has a nice ring to it is so true
the titles are like eye candy and
the poems themselves are like a sundae
with all the right fixings.  Thanks Noah.

Tracey~ I'm so glad you liked this.
I could say the same thing about your replies, "how cool is she"

Marge~  Thanks for enjoying, your nice comments are always so warm and wonderful
and I appreciate them very much.

Cpat~   So nice of you to share.
I like your sense of humor!
Here put this trench coat on and pull
your hat down over your eyes and we can go as Bonnie and Clyde, or if you prefer we could go as Scarlett and Ret.
Wait, I forgot we aren't going anywhere.    lol~

Larry~ You always shine so brightly,
and are a joy to know.
Thank you kind Sir, cool Daddy-o

Cpat~ Right right, no violence,
But I am NOT going as Bert or Ernie,
how about Betty or Wilma~
Or I could go as a powerpuff girl!!
I've got a sideache from laughing so hard.
Thanks for the fun, don't be late now.

Ok... you can go as Betty... I just DONT look like Fred.... ( or barney unless you count that purple goofy kinda barney thing..I might have looked like him a couple of time after way too many with a twist, but then I don't remember much about those times.... hmmm) Where was I?

Oh.. yeah... How about you go as Betty Boop
and I'll go as Roger Rabbit

Thanks Zukene~ It's nice to hear from you.

(chuckling) Sure..... but I get ot be June!!! If we're going to be that square..we should at least make people wonder!

What time do I pick you up? Think they'll even get the costumes when we go out for dinner at Burger King?

excuse me a moment.

Miss?
Could I get another with a twist?
Bring my friend one too
she's been sitting here a while
looking blue.

Say, mind if I ask?
extra olives in my glass...
Again my friend would like the same
by the way, what's your name?

Cheers my friend!
Good times to all!

Guess I better make this one
my last call

This is great! The titles may have been there to "string along" *LOL* but it takes a keen eye to put them together in any kind of cohesive sense...marvelous job Lori!

Blues this is truly clever and since it is your original idea, may I try this myself on another board with other titles? floria
