A Fate of Fools when glorious lusty summer winds no longer blow? Hear me, and sigh upon salty breeze Feel cold from brazen flame with no heat to throw. My love lies to me, asunder spicy cypress Why must I take into bosom, this rumor of parting? If this be truth, I want no part of it If this be falsehood, then let it devour me. I cannot write what stargazers see Show me! my eyes burn with innocent shame heaven's choir can no longer be silent This be the fate of fools: passion unrestrained How the demons of confusion must dance! they sway only to the laments of loss Yet you feel not, what cannot be seen What safety is eternal at lost soul's cost? Come, if will allows, and warm our wine Hot rouge of blood, uncoil cold's grasp; I know thee: when sea spray turns brittle force you, my love, to toss away teary mask Beckon they will, these regrets of yours When chances to amend are withdrawn and few With a sleight of hand, and diversion of eye What's wrought with seeds, into strong winds blew. And fell upon non-earth of sea where seeds drown without growing a leaf Nobler winter, no roots to find They've withered , now, from endless grief I can bear no thought, that you are lost in mists without our estate of mind Eternal Traveler who perpetually must seek burnished auburn of happier times. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ |

"I cannot write what stargazers see Show me! my eyes burn with innocent shame heaven's choir can no longer be silent This be the fate of fools: passion unrestrained" BRAVO!!! Oh my gosh, your words never fail to amaze me, sweet friend, may you recover all your happy memories from yesterday's autumn and may they all rebirth in the spring of happiness now forever and ever! (smiles) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is wonderful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Your writing always challenges me to look deeper than the surface, and this is no exception. A relationship on the brink of extinction, though giving one last desperate attempt to keep it from drowning...provocative! |

Seymour: great fortune-cookie type response...Thankx! Floria: worked a bit harder on this poem than most. Hope it shows, and much appreciate of your words, Floria! Noah: may you recover all your happy memories from yesterday's autumn and may they all rebirth in the spring of happiness now forever and ever! These are some of the best response lines ever! Don't know how to thank you, Dude, but they are felt! Dulcinea: Hi Lamb! well..i wrote this as a personal extinction thing, or a relationship, or a family interrelation, it was written open ended just for the reader to draw their own conclusions. Any resemblance, etc etc is purely coincidental. *thanks Hon* Munk-ster: so nice of you to reply and thank you! Sometimes its nice to be the puppeteer in the puppet show, and not the puppet, huh? *s* |
