The little Balladeer, oh dear, he was in trouble you know
he went to look for the milkybar his mother should profide
to fill his belly full of that delicious warmed up flow
but he found none and was surprised although he really tried

In the middle of the night, I found out and took them in real quick
to let him sip at the other ewe's breast wich he refused to do
At 3.00 AM I was milking this ewe to prevent Deer from getting sick
to get antibiotics, a little lamb always needs the first milk of a ewe

So now he will become, my first bottlefeeded lamb this year
But if you think he's drinking milk? You're wrong, he's drinking Beer!!!

(somehow this ewe doesn't produce any milk at all this year, me and the vet don't know why)

A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess...

Delightful, Titia!

I raised an orphan colt once, and had to feed him around the clock.  This poem reminded me of that experience.  Fortunately, he got three days feedings from the mare before he was orphaned.  So that took care of the necessary first milk.  It was great being reminded.

Lambies drink beer, huh?

You can see, I loved your poem.

Titia, and I thought at least YOU would be able to keep this little 'Deer of a lamb on the straight and narrow...but I see he has his godfather's genes...

Hey, Titia! You did it in the wrong order, Give him the beer first and I assure you he will not refuse the breast.....or he ain't my godson!!!

Thank you for the update, dear lady. It will be fun following that cute little devil through life.

You're not going to eat him, are you?!?!?!

LOL Titia...I guess that Marge, Karilea and I now have a beer drinking little brother named Deer....
I guess Michael won't have to worry about you eating his namesake because he will probably develop a beer belly and won't taste real good! LOLOL
