Systematic Purpose Of

Patiently I'm waiting
for something to resign.
Painting images of new,
no pain to touch my mind.

At first I thought the getting out
would help relieve this stress.
Then more began to pile upon,
adding to this mess.

Exercising in my way,
the walks and biking outs,
allowed the natural to appeal
but still left painful doubts.

Sitting here, waiting for
that miracle to show,
the one that takes away the pain
to let my within glow.

I am beginning to think that it
is just a hollow feel,
that pointless will become the word,
replacing the ideal.

I'm droning on because I wish
for times of past return,
to bring me back to consciousness,
and take away this yearn.

Take away the headaches,
the coughs, my life of choke.
Return my energy to high
and let me pleasure soak.

Depression wants to settle in,
though fighting it, I'll try.
Sitting here the darkness cloaks,
the moon defines my sigh.

To be again, to touch the stars
with eyes that seek, explore,
the systematic purpose of
existing, want of more.

Maureen, to only way to touch the stars is to fly! Looking down or back will only serve to keep you stuck in the mud. Fly! Lead! Let good things follow you. Don't be so impatient!

nakdthoughts...this longing
is not depression
it is yer poetic spirit
needing the interaction
of like minds.....
playing that waiting game
makes one see...yes
then it's time to set sail
for the real shining sea
mingling in the muck and mire
the thing called life
take flight...make the party
find pure pleasure
and sheer delight........mark

Now Maureen, listen here, no one that can write like this could possibly be depressed. This is truly awesome, so truthful about how you are feeling. Writing always helps me, also I am so busy with family I don't have time to think. Busy helps too..Hope you are feeling better. floria

Newell, Noah, Nancy, 'tis just a bit of  rambling venting of mixed emotions... *s

*Nancy, I am doing as well as canbe expected..atill waiting for something to  take effect. *s

Mark, I am  enjoying your words of response and your poetry..thank you.
"make the party
find pure pleasure
and sheer delight"..I am searching for that..........*s

Floria, no family near me to be busy with at the moment...so my only distractions are poetry and my home right now. I am  not depressed..just sleeping alot catching  up on all I lost and waiting for this coughing to leave me forever. * s
