Connected

I lay alone
and I can still feel
the echo
of his heart beat
so close
is our joining
my breath
is his in repeat
I memorized
the very smell
of his skin
and the texture
of his touch
uniquely finger painting
a life’s canvas
as such
his lips
have pressed mine
a million times
feeling just like
the first
knows the worst
and best parts of me
the passion that burns
and quenches my thirst
separate are
our bodies yet
our souls
are but one
stringing together
our hearts
never to be undone

"Pour yourself thick, when it is you, that you spread."

This was a tough one to pick a favorite part, but I did...

"our souls
are but one
stringing together
our hearts
never to be undone"

Absolutely exquisite work.

The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives.

Helen, This is one of the most touching poems I have ever read. You will always love him. He is the only person that showed you love from the beginning. You've both loved each other and been together a long time. Some things in life we never get over. You have a different kind of love that last forever, something other people know nothing about. It's a gift. Treasure it.

Helen, your deep, deep love is like God's love for us. And when it's not returned it just gets stronger and stronger. And it always be beautiful! So relish it!

They seem like little things, at the time . . . to remember.

*sigh*
wordless
I find myself wandering
into serenity when reading
the work you breathe.
a lovely Helen poet
did I say wordless?
Ahh!!
inspirational

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.
