Grin To Bear Imagine a tear, permanently frozen to the face One that cannot dry Imagine a fear, forever-locked in seal-tight hands Prisoner to self Paint a self-portrait, without glancing at mirrors Drawn from nameless woes Sketched from glens of gladness Photograph the moment, transcribe it to golden pages Put it into words that shan't be forgot Relive it when the present overwhelms Imagine a smile, a lost set of muscle expressions that beauty spawned from Imagine a mile, walked alone, when strength was abundant That path is still there If the soul can only remember what it took to find it. Oh my goodness, what a fine talent! I liked your title but you if it were my poem, which it isn't~~ I would have named it 'my heart of soul' Perfectly breathtaking, every word and sentiment. Your best yet in my book! Obscurity is good but sometimes I don't get that. Oh this was just grand!!! Sing it again for us would you Jeff! ~pat pat pat~ |

Imagine a mile, walked alone, when strength was abundant That path is still there If the soul can only remember what it took to find it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jeff!! This is remarkable! WOW! Just amazing...I am left speechless... I was holding my breath through the entire read... hoping it would never end... Love it and I'm keeping it! Hugs. ~Somewhere in my heart I'm always |

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could record each millisecond of a moment and never forget it? Though I am not sure I would want to record all memories that way. We are what we live, and what we choose to keep and move forward with is the person we become. How tragic it would be if we truly had to walk those miles alone all our lives, never being touched along the way. I remember when you first showed this me, yep, another one of those "thinker" poems. Love it. |

Lor: the title eluded me. It is a sort of: One must Grin to Bear It but THAT title sucked even worse! hehehe. . .i may just use your title. You noticed the lyric thingy at the bottom, didn't you? I do believe the song was written in the Key of Sea. . .C. . .~wink~ jf Dearest Nancy: giving me a permanent blush in my cheeks from all the praise. ~smiles~ That is such a nice way of putting the flow of a poem. It's all I can do to live up to your writing expectations of me…..whewwwww teasing Thanks Nance! J Jeff Hi Noah! You will have to forgive me for getting too philosophical at times. Its in my nature. I cannnnnnt help it, darn it all! **grin** You are more than welcome, and thank you, Noah. Your responses always warm my evening. Dulcy ~huuuugg~ thank you sweetheart, for stopping by. It's great to have a fellow critic to share and bounce ideas off of. So let me take a moment to just thank you for all the helpful suggestions you have given in the past. I can't remember a time when they weren't all good ones! You have a keen eye! Thankx Hon! J Jeff Aw Marcia. . . . Thank you so very much! Gee! this was written during a period where I ripped off about 20 of these right in a row. The thoughts came quicker than I could get them all on paper. The sad thing was: my computer crashed and I lost a bunch of them. This is a survivor, tho! Heyyyyyyyyyyyy Vic. . .camera's capture a person's soul. . .did you know that? *grin* It is funny however, how memories that were forgotten are sparked back to life by leafing thru a photo album. Priceless treasures! Thank you Vic……and Tuesday Hugs! Madame Lady Queen ChipMunk: ~humbling bowing to the Land-Star that shines brightly upon Blue Passion.~ |
