I feel like I’m losing my best friend
When the distance is too great
Her smiling face is forever in my mind
And when she was holding me
When I cried over a boy for the first time

Half a world away, I’m here, she’s there
And not a word from her today
I wonder what goes on, in that pretty
Little head of hers
How things are, and if she’s happy

Some day we’ll meet up again
But will you remember my face
Or the times we spent together?

Before she left for the first time
I cried every night for three months
Couldn’t imagine living without her
Who would I share my life with?
Who will be there to mend my broken heart?

(refrain)

By an odd coincidence, saw her at Christmas
My God how beautiful
Yet over years she changed, still beautiful
In my eyes, but we’re not the twins we once were
Changes for good and changes for bad

(refrain)

Maybe, one day we’ll meet up again
I’ll remember your face
And the part of my soul that you shared
I wish you never went away
I will always love you, forever, my sister

When I am queen I will insist with perfect scars upon my wrists
that everything you once held dear is taken away from you

This made me think of my brother, who just rescued me tonight when my car ran out of gas (yes, I’m that lazy, that I think the gods of gas will get me home and I won’t have to actually fill that damn car up!!!). Fortunately, he still lives close enough to be there for me through all life’s tribulations. Yep, there’s nothing like family is there? Loved this one. Think I’ll keep it if you don’t mind

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Among the changes and those that crowd life's lanes, our true friends remain a treasure for all of our days.

This is beautiful and speaks to the heart.

This is wonderful Oksana and I would love to hear it put to music.  Very loving.  Hugs.
