Thoughtlessness
By Larry Chadwick

People are so critical,
Seems everyone is political.
Saying things that are rude,
Acting so totally crude.

It appears they have a proclivity,
For nothing but continual negativity.
Not giving anyone or anything a chance,
Always a boil in sight they should lance.

Can’t just have a little chat,
Need to knock this and that.
Obviously gossip isn’t enough,
They have to treat people rough.

Don’t they ever tire of such behavior,
Forgetting someday they’ll want a favor?
At risk of being the victims of such acts,
Wouldn’t they want others to use facts?

Instead they drone on and on,
And I wish they were gone.
I’ve had enough of this stuff,
I want more than empty fluff!

Larry, you are so very right
Many people with such shallow sight
Reflect the dark earth, not the dew
I glad we're diff'rent, me and you.

Wow...this is good, Larry, but I wouldn't want you to be angry at me because I can just imagine the derisive poem you would write.

Larry Hi there, well I’ll never be critical of you, your writing is wonderful. As mum has pointed out you are a fine writer. You write very well of everything, and you are an inspiration to me. I can’t rhyme but I have today been trying something new. I’ll see if it works. Your rhymes are perfect, and your writing is sublime. Is that fluff? You must have been talking to mum, she’s so fluffy she makes clouds look substantial You do know I’m joking right? Good

(big hugggssssss) Oh Larry, I couldn't agree with you more, dearest friend, it seems we are all put on peer pressure and I get the wrong impression from others and are always forced to have to act politically, I pray that someday life can be so much more simpler and friendly! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is soooooo wonderfully said! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Larry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Yeah Larry, you tell em!! Aint’ it the truth. Some people have such negativity, we have to get away before they bring us down to their level.

newell,
The whole world is nuts except me and thee...and sometimes I wonder about thee! ROTFL Thanks for listening.

Lyra,
There goes the neighborhood! Sorry but I had to get it off my chest. Between work and church I've seen enough negativity to last me a while. I feel much better now.

Nancy Lee,
That only happened here once...and he's gone. Bless you, sorry for the scare.
Thanks.

Krissy,
How did we get from venting to inspiration? I'm lost... Thanks so very much. Don't let mum know, okay?

Karilea,
You can see it is hazardous to wind me up! ROTFL Thanks for the cheer.

Noah,
Peer pressure can really suck! But I'll hang in there if you will. Thanks.

Magnus,
Well...yes but I have a long ways to go. Wouldn't want to write about my faults! ROTFL

Sandra,
It gets exhausting! I'm glad you understand. Thanks.

M,
LOL Well thank you mam. I appreciate that. I have little regard for lack of anger management. But had to express my frustration somewhere!

Tracey,
That's a fact. Reality can really get in the way! LOL Thanks.

A very well constructed piece! You decribed the careless thoughts of people to a "T" with well honed insight. It is ironic how these same people would never understand why someone would think the same of them though. Very good write!

Hello Larry

I applaud you and agree wholeheartedly with everything you say.  I have no time for the people you describe.  I'd just like to share this with you :

The friends who listen to us
are the ones we move toward
and we want to sit in their radius
When we are listened to, it creates us
it makes us unfold and expand

Thanks for your words Larry.

Take care......Sue

Gosh, sure hope you don't find my stuff negative...even negativity poems can have positivity. (Is positivity a real word?)

Hugs to you, Larry. (And I mean that in a really friendly, positive way, so don't take it "Out of context")
Have I used up all my icon allowance????

No, just had to fix a boooboo.

Dulcinea,
Thanks. Hoped I wasn't too far off.

Sue,
Hey thanks. I just have heard so much complaining lately at work. So there it is...

Lauren,
I'm in better shape than you might think. But I'm still glad for the encouragement. Thanks.

Kacy,
As I recall(and my recall ain't that good lol) I haven't nor would I ever make a personal attack on anyone and especially not here. The point being...you're safe with me.
