         Futility

Cornucopias horn is full
Yet born is much hunger.
There are more then three bags full
Who hordes it, which monger?

They author and write their pages
Time eats and burps away
Through the banquet of the ages
Bilious with gay and bray.

And apocalypse toasts the few
Pledging lust and power
Always mesmerizing the new
With greed of the hour.

Is this the seed the inner core
Futilities inane.
The exit of the gardens door
Humanity's insane.

But who am I to rap times rend
I know no better end.

==================================

Well that will be the coolest verse I'll read today!!!
Reading your poetry is like eating Cracker Jacks ....
One works their way, munching on all the sweet popcorn puffs of rhyme divine...coated with melodics that dance on the tongue...
along the way,if we keep our mind's eyes open, we find peanuts of wisdom and truth sprinked thru the internal rhymes, and as we gleefully munch our way to the bottom, there will be found the prize of wise in those closing couplets of WAAY COOL.
Why have boring ceral in the morn when one can satisfy their poetic sweet tooth with Stinky and Randy?

(rofl ... so far to go for so little,--huh Stinky?) LOL

I really enjoyed your poem and its meaning but comparing you to "Cracker Jack" now that is stretching it some, what is in her tea anyway, I want some   Hmmm, I shall ask and make us all some when we are there together in a few weeks LOL.  I really did like this poem in all this verbal confusion.

Seymour,

Could it all be perception
This awful stuff we learn to fear
Could we just be a looking through
Someone else's dirty mirror?

Good write!
