Many a character lives within the walls
dancers change clothes in make shift stalls;
Mr. Fascination is called to take his cue
calling the ladies on stage for their debut.

Fascination takes his audience to trips far away
wants the public to imagine that they can stay,
throws a number, sleezy audiences lean on counters for
the manager of the joint is working up a high debt
score.

Dancing ladies grace the stage twirling their batons
Smoker jackets deal with issues where kids don't belong;
gambled debts the owner accrues from his poor score
caught in a circle of false friends from the day before.

Fascination takes his public to trips far away
loyal audiences come to see the dancers, they pay;
ladies get ovations if the show crumbles or fails
but Fascination gets the hook if tickets don't sell.

Both the owner and the MC get their just reward
show continues no matter what the musical chord,
stage curtain opens, the girls clamour to get on,
while owners sip tequilas, and bask in the sun.

A sad commentary indeed...but very well done.
Prefer great tunes and a candle lit livingroom myself! ThisDiamond

(big huggsssssss) Oh Martin, this is so very sad, I hope that the performers put on the best show without pressure from those cruel mpeople and get a grand applause from the audience that they deserve so much! (sad sigh) This is emotionally powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
