I couldn't help but wonder to myself
if our dear Nannie is an elf
she dances around the aisles
spreading her poetic smiles
an elf, maybe, but she only knows herself!!

(now please add in tribute a verse
and hope our Nanners doesn't curse....hehehe)

I don't know Nan that well
but her words make me smile
I loved what you said
how she dances the isles~
Like fairy dust sprinkles
'tis a magical touch
when charmed by the wand
from the elf of herself.

Is Nan an elf? Im wondering that with you
Im not sure but I know she is a teacher too
And Nan is a poet... this I know to be true
she taught me how to write a Senryu and Haiku
I've snuck in late to her class a time or two
and the rumors about her erasers are really true
Im still trying to write that sonnet on these pages blue
So if Nan is an elf, I could use some meter magic too.
Ill bring her an apple...I'll bring more than a few
I just want to write a sonnet like the other poets do!!!!!

This is cute! Well, I don't know if she's an elf, but I enjoyed her Irish funny stuff today.

(And when I reply to her poems I always feel like I'm doing a soliloquy because her name is my name too)

Is our sweet Nancy an elf?
It's a question that I ask myself.
Though she has a good heart
When she goes to Wal-Mart
She can't seem to reach the top shelf!!

Nan is our dearest friend, as sweet as can be
She smiles like a nymph and weaves magic like a fairy
She may not be an elf, there is no proof
But her heart is no doubt filled with magic, that is the truth!

I'm new to the 'shop
with Nan at the top.

I was here to sightsee
as Sunshine's invitee,

when Nan let me post
my thoughts uppermost.

So welcoming was she
to me, the attendee.

I've no need to roam,
My poems have come home.

I'm here to stay
and improve my wordplay.

With Sunshine's inspiration,
And Nan's kind invitation.

I now have a plan
to write all I can

And write and rewrite
'til it's right.

Seems to me a bit of wee
comes in form of Nan's fairy
she sprinkles the loam
with bits of sea foam
leaving all rainbow airy...

Spancil Hill plays the lilt
whereby all is seen in gilt
Nan, an elf?
all by herself?
penning poetry in sand's silt...

I walk the shores all alone
stopping to turn the stone
and there sits Nan
by her own sweet Pan
and giving his poem a tone

[oh sheesh...forgive me Nan...]
