you've caught the visual of me
and failed to see
beyond the expression on my face.
If you tried to consider my heart
as closely as you consider my face
then you may know me more.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A girl
perhaps I'm happy this way
bottomless innocence like black coffee
cream swirled with just enough wisdom
altogether sweet
and blended light for slow addiction.
A woman?
Only by observation of others.
I just wanted to be a girl.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
angel sydrome
sunny version
of another world inside
a woman.
brilliance hypnotizes
eyes are tricked from the encore
as its curtain swings
with heavy fists of velvet
dazing the audience
so that they forget
that they almost saw
a hint
of imperfection
of sullen self pity.
Dazzle them
bedazzle hearts with the famed signature
of being altogether too real.
Never a better actress
than the one behind the words
behind the pen
cowering and peeking around
running to kick life into everyone
then cowering again.
hide and seek
dazzle them
with a glitter of heart
caught just the right light
in the sun of talent.
But acting behind a pen is easy
could she turn her face to the world
without embarassment and nervousness
spraying her face
with red uncertainty?

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.

Ah, believe me, it comes with time, and then, if just right...you will still be allowed to blush...

well done!  I enjoyed this personal observation...

Ah! Sweet Temptress, I believe you are at your very best just being a girl. Like my sweet little sister. I like you both that way!

Wow, you sure know how to write introspection. I’d be afraid to look this deep. Good one Jen

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

they might look more at your heart if your face didn't look like... that!

nice to see this kind of growth Jenn.

... i just noticed that at this moment, your posts number 5150 (pshyc term for "danger to yourself and others" as well as being the name of Van Halen's best album...lol)

be careful... it would explain a lot.

hmmm. . .I see that you're wondering if you're looking at yourself here, or if you're looking at yourself the way that others see you. . . and, just how personal can those observations be???

questions that we all ask. . . great job. . .

Is hard to observe oneself. Great ones here.
