May 1970 – the lost journal

Above, the clear gray of sky
is endless,
soon to be broken by a stream
of light;
this spill of gold reaching out
from above
to touch a solitary tree on a hill
beneath the sky.

Then, too soon, that solitary tree
is bathed in brilliance
(the beauty of such beyond words),
the stream of warmth thickening, swelling,
its shaft growing at the base of
a solitary tree,
slowly warming the ground
upon which the ancient tree exists.

The shaft enlarges, exposing more
of itself, its tremulous beauty
pushing away the gray of sky
into nothing,
making it disappear.

Finally nature’s charisma
opened itself before me, upon me
(aware of chills playing upon my skin).

Slowly, in measured steps of allotted time,
I, as the solitary tree,
am bathed in and caressed by
the early morning sun.

I am in awe of the way the rays shine through the trees, in feels like God is sending a message to only me.  I loved the way you wrote this, your words just burst off the page and literally came alive.

Stunning work Sunshine~
