Full with the Moon

Sweet, languid,
morning love
is not what I need
now.

Give me sheath of night
and summer thunder,
only the casual stir
of banana leaves
to fan flesh,
the kind of play
that troubles the mind
by daylight:
pulse of dark, ancient caves,
or the starved hunt
through snaking vines
in a jungle
wet.

Corinne - I must say this is one morning that sounds very good.  I really liked the intense passion you captured in this and the metaphors you used.  Well done.

This was so picturesque and the humidity was an added bonus!!
Just about left me gasping for air!
