Lovingly Haunting
Inspired by E. Santos

It is a picture I have
of you in my mind
lovingly haunting
it will find

my theory of you
at desk or such
penning words
that only you touch.

A portrait of you
romance at its best
pouring forth your heart
giving no less.

Lovingly haunting
your words will be
as we look toward
your poetry.

I see you here,
in my mind’s eye
and enjoined to that
a picture of Sy

who reads your words
captures your feel
in paint on canvas
it becomes so real

I see your mind
in glory bent
in Sudhir’s poems
of vacations spent,

in Sven’s remarks
of his Knighthood dreams
in Balladeer’s quest
to sketch his dreams,

Martie finds where
her sighs hide
Mysteria revels in
Every moon’s ride

In Claire’s portraits and
Christopher’s philosophies,
In Marge’s spirit
and in Janet Marie,

each stroke of your pen
touches Helmut and Mark
and Prometheus comes
to see your new spark

Severn flows with
the touch of you
the Cape it finds Nan’s
sun in view

of light as it shines
for each Parker and Kit
and Justbleu is here
taking part in it

for you are lovingly haunting
as only you can be
and Ms. Santos, Elizabeth,
I curtsey to the art of thee.

BRAVO!!! YES!!! Ooohhhhhh...I know Elizabeth is going to cherish this forever, you have written of all she is sooooooo beautifully, she is the loving persdon you described and so much more! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is outstanding! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

Oh Karilea what an absolutely beautiful and accurate picture of Liz. She is just going to love this when she sees it. You are always thinking of others and your muse is a sweet little gal too to sweetly whisper this one in your ear. I loved it and kept it too.

Karilea, This is such a lovely tribute to all of the poets who have inspired me to write and there are many more. Your gesture shows your caring heart and genuine friendship that you have demonstrated many times over the years. And it is a tribite to your potic talents. I regret not being able to participate in this family of poets right now, for personal matters have taken my attention. I miss you all so much, and you, MIss Morning Sunshine, the light of our days. I am so honored by this poem and I thank you through my heartfelt tears.
