Enough Love For A Lifetime

If within my heart was a thought to love you forever
could I and would I be up to the task to blend us closer together?
Could I find the right words to say unto you that would provide the desired reaction?
Could I take the correct course of action that would lead us to a place of happiness and satisfaction?

Since forever is such a long, long time I can only hope and pray that my heart will allow me this treasure to love you forever
and if not at least give me the time to experience the pleasure of enough love to last for a lifetime.

Awwwwwww...this was so sweet. It reminded me of a question we ask each other when our hearts are just overflowing with affection, sometimes we ask it at the same time...we often ask, "Can I love you forever?" and you know, the answer is always, "You'd better!" with the biggest smile we can muster.

Thanks for the sweet reminder today.

a lovely poem! i believe that even
though sometimes we can't love FOREVER
for that is such a vast amount of time
as long as we love the best we can
with the time we have...that makes up
for what we might be able to have. hope
