Rewrite Repost: Ode to a Toad Lily pads act homes lagoon Below a chrome and sexy moon Where nomad toads all Galahads Croak their love and wait unclad. Flamboyant they gloat their glower, Offering dower on the hour. knights of the night they sing and recite Croaking with might their songs of delight. Ruckus tunes of male ensnare Toady songs, beyond compare. Horny for the closure of mate Below a rapist moon of fate. Bold and constant is their sweep Passionate sounds of rebeep. Roaring a rile of rhapsody Stating fruitions destiny. Exploding echoes of flimflam Frantically calling, here I am. |

Big smiles...they do get loud, don't they? The tree and pond frogs in our pasture aren't quite out yet, but soon enough, soon enough... |

Seymour darling boy, this is what I mean when I say my day isn't complete without a dose of you. I’m grinning like a Cheshire cat, or indeed the Cheshire cat. The song A Frog Went A Courting is echoing in my head now and I shall be humming it for ages. This is utterly utterly wonderful, thank you darling boy, you must come again, soon. Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 [This message has been edited by Marsha (03-14-2002 06:08 PM).] |

Laughing at Nan's response *s I once had a toad in my raised pond...don't know how he found his way in there...but the sound was so loud, echoing. He was well camouflaged. *s M |

Now if I ran into a dapper toad like you I'd let him croak me a thing or two. The tune we'd sing would be pretty loud, bet he'd walk away strutting kinda proud! LMBO at you, this was THE cutest thing! What would a toad be without a Tabin? Not half the toad you made it. |

Seymour I just love these little guys. We had a creek running across our back yard at the last home we had, and I would sit out and listen to these sweet sounds.. what is the one that comes out at night. Loud but so nice to listen to. This I really appreciated. Nice write. floria Floria |

My Dad lives near a swamp... so the chorus of "Here I am"s can be almost deafening. *G* I love this Seymour... it's delightful. And I love the comments you've inspired. Well done! *S* |
