There is heat, Flowing through our veins to beat, A pumping a thumping Driven by that needed part, Called a heart. There is warm, That will make the head to swarm With thinking of doing, Virus that hidden enter Cause fever. There is pain, An aching that won’t explain, Of leaving and grieving, That pierces though out our life Heated strife. What is smaller than virus? T’is emotion that blinds us. Gloom |

Borrowing a line from a favored poet, to twist a turn and leave your own mark...Professor, do you hear the applause? |

Thank you, Sunshine, Glad you liked it, but I couldn’t hear a thing, Someone’s banging a Rod into misshapen poetry. Gloom “This is the way it was While I was waiting for your eyes ~ To find me.” [This message has been edited by Professor Gloom (02-16-2002 06:39 PM).] |

I like this, professor, though the original poem of this name is one of my favorite. You did something cool with the line. Sandra |

This definitely had your signature lines in it, and even using Rod's line, the twists in this were amazing, loved it!

I haven't read Rod in years. Thanks for reminding me to read him again. I enjoyed this warm reflection of yours. "What is smaller than virus? T’is emotion that blinds us." |

Thank you, Mysteria, This is a very modified form, the old 3,7,3 is still there, But I rhymed a,a,(b,b),c,c . McKuen isn’t much about meter of rhyme, But more of emotional expression. “Listen, I don’t apologize for being hard to know ~ I am what I am sulking will not change that but apple pies and warm hands help and I have never known a cat that couldn’t calm me down by walking slowly by my chair,” ~ Rod McKuen, Listen to the Warm “THIRTEEN” Thank you, Midnitesun, Glad you enjoyed, he’s one of those poets I go back to hoping to get a little inspiration. Thank You, Sunshine, Even the Blackness shall be Red on these Blue pages, Glad you tolerate and enjoy my twisting. Gloom [This message has been edited by Professor Gloom (02-17-2002 07:50 AM).] |
