"Chances Missed..."

If I would let you love me,
I really think you would.
I wish that I could drop my guard-
I'd like to if I could.

But the wall which stands between us,
Took years for me to build...
It seems the tender side of me-
The process slowly killed.

So I am on the outside, now-
Forlornly looking in.
Wishing I could turn back time-
And start my life again.

The clock of life is wound but once-
And whether right, or wrong-
Decisions are immutable-
And chances missed...are gone!

this was incredibly sad to me. sometimes
chances are missed yes and the pain from
yesterday holds us back from exploring
and going after what we REALLY want...
but it's not too late to change the future.

Wow this is incredibly sad and I think we all should make the best of what time we have on this earth and take all the chances that come our way. Thank you for the wonderful read

(big hugggsssssss) Oh John, this is so very sad, my heart goes out to you but I believe deep down with all my heart despite all the remorse and what we may have missed, there is always time for a second chance, so now go to her and look inside yourself for the hope out there! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, my thoughts are with you always! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet John, thank you for sharing!
