Multiplying Love
By Larry Chadwick

I took a chance,
And gave you my heart.
It was worth the risk,
Right from the start.

I forgot that in return,
You’d trust me with yours.
More risk than I knew,
Love filling my pores.

This investment I’ve made,
In the future of us,
Pays dividends so grand,
I think it’s a must.

So now that I’m rich,
And loaded with love,
Let’s see it multiply,
With a gift from above.

Let’s do the math,
Of me times you.
Which equals three,
With a baby too.

If only we could,
Conceive tonight.
Then for sure,
It would be just right.

You sound so happy here. This is a positively real love poem.
And thanks for your note on my poem.

If 1 and 1 are 3 then how can 1 and 1 be 4?
Or is it, 1 and 1 is 3 plus 1 is 4? Or is it ... Oh, who cares.

I'm shooting blanks!!!

amy,
Sorry, but must clarify. I have two kids and two step-kids and would love to have had ten more! But thanks.

Nan,
Thank you so much!

mutington,
Very kind words indeed, from you! Thanks.

Interloper,
ROFL I did get busted. I though nobody noticed. Love the instructions...

floria,
None of it intimidates me! Kids are worth everything you know. Thanks.

Lauren,
Too funny! Kidding...a pun! And there is no price to high, however, no amount of practice will help. And thanks for the instructions. I'll do my best. LOL
