War is bleeding
and I am just a color fading in shadow,
once a thunder under the sea.
I don't want to watch from the inside of glass -
pretty palettes protecting me,
when cobblestone calls crying an ager
and the slick, black green moss spread even neutralizes the glare.
War is bleeding!
And I am an arm of grief, solid,
cast in statue - refrained, bent stiff and fragile aching
while whistles and wishes pluck naked
so field mice can define the sigh.
See red is the screen, over load too real -
to turn a head away, deny.
Though facing begs for layers torn,
then ragged flesh revealed and light.
And I know what bleeding war can bring -
I fear what I do not and so, I am just a color fading,
just a thought and wanting, true.

Your writing always amazes me. So much depth, so many layers. Scuse me while I go back for another read of this one.

(big hugggsssssss) This is sooooooo emotionally powerful, sweet friend, I too believe we all have wars with ourselves too when we try to grow and develop our love and compassion, and we peel like ythe layers of an onion until finally we form a perfecr shape of the heart we dream to hold close! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

What an excellent piece of writing, and the power of your summation was incredible...
"And I know what bleeding war can bring -
I fear what I do not and so, I am just a color fading,
just a thought and wanting, true."
I really enjoyed this, thanks for sharing it.
