SCARS I have loved and I have lost. To live in this world there is a cost. I give my heart out to be broken. I have great dreams only to be awoken. I ride through storms and crest the waves Only to know I will never be saved. I live in the dark and search for the light, Never to rid myself of my plight I look for the stars in the night skies. I look for truth but I only find lies. I try to remember to believe in good, But I cannot forget where I have stood. Time may heal some of my pains But my heart will never lose its stains. Things will become easier. I know they will. But some scars will never heal. "What makes letting go hard isn't losing what you had, but losing the dream of what could have been." |

(big hugggssssssss) So sad but beautiful, sweet friend, I know just how you feel, and those scars may forever be etched in your heart, but I know deep down you will find happiness that will also touch your heart forever and bring ease to your pains! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, my thoughts are with you! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Liz, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Thank you both for your responses. I know that time helps, but I keep wondering how much time it takes. "What makes letting go hard isn't losing what you had, but losing the dream of what could have been." |

There is quite a lot here to take in. How proud you must be to have let it out. Good for you! |

Angel girl, I am sorry for the pain that you must have felt when writing this, and hope the moment this poem hit the page, your heart was lightened by releasing these words. |

angel girl, how well you empty your sadness. Love is to be multiplied and pain is to be divided. Thanks for dividing and sharing a piece with me. ((angel girl)) -newell Sharing God's Love through perfectlovepoetry.com |

Writing really did help me I think. It did feel good to let some of how I feel out and put it on paper. Pain is definately much easier to bear when it is divided and shared. I wish I would have realized that sooner, but it's better late than never. Your comments mean a lot to me. Thankyou for taking the time to read my poems and giving me feed-back. so many truths, so little time... you are so blessed to be able to see so clearly... yes, some scars never heal but they don't have to be open wounds they are stripes we wear proudly teaching us how we have survived and conquered certain pains, learning new lessons along the way... well said in this verse! |

angel girl, this is very well expressed. I am sorry about the pain you feel. I know all about pain and scars. There may be scars, but the pain will lessen. |
