Granville Island - Downtown Vancouver

~* So Much To Love *~

Play It's A Wonderful World

There’s love in the moon and stars,
as they twinkle in the sky at night.
There’s love in a young child’s eyes,
which holds a new toy so tight.

There’s love in holding hands,
feeling the warmth of someone’s love.
There’s love in praying in silence,
to your Creator up above.

Such love watching the new birth,
as each bud of spring unfolds.
Love in a mother’s eyes,
as her newborn baby she holds

There’s love in every breath we breathe,
for it is that which gives us life.
You can see it in a seasoning love,
between a husband and a wife.

There’s love in feeling empathy,
for our fellow man in pain.
In learning any given sport,
falling down, and getting up again.

Love always lends a helping hand;
it comes back to you so I’m told.
It’s love that reads a child a story,
watching eyes widen as plots unfold.

Love lives in the dryness of a desert,
when there’s the smell of rain in the air.
There’s an absent love in a friend you don’t see,
but still knowing that they still care.

There is love, oh, so much love,
in this wonderful world in which we’re living.
There is love, knowing that what we get
is absolutely always in the giving.

I love my life just the way it is.
Memories make smiles now that I am aging.
I am happy, healthy, loved by so many and,
living in a city I wouldn’t trade for anything.

There is love in being able to write words,
record my heart and soul with this pen.
And in knowing there’ll be another day,
to sit down and write of love again.

~* Tell someone you love them today *~

I love the rounded sculptured look of this skyline. So many city buildings look like giant cold boxes.

~* Thank you all so very much *~
I hope you don't mind if I do a "group hug" as I usually wait for the end of the day rather than comment more than once or twice on a poem, as that moves your poem up and that is not fair to others, so hope you accept the way I do this as I appreciate each and every comment left, and treasure your support in what I try to write.  Vancouver is in my opinion, the most beautiful city in Canada, and I have seen a great deal of Canada, and there is something for everyone to do here all year round.  Thanks again, and if you are ever in my neck of the woods I EXPECT you to let me know!

There is so much *TRUE LOVE* oozing out of this feeling work of poetic beauty. You've dipped your pen in what truly makes the world go round and round. LOVE~~~~ With that said I would like to tell you that you bring the best out of everyone you touch. And you touch me in my soul. Thanks for being here in my lifetime... and a Maggie ((~.~))
