Of Butterfly and Baseball It was just a dream yet I think that it was more how else explain the way it wrote the words across the sky I slept with where a butterfly is fragile taken into the whim of restless air where her delicate fell in love with a baseball with purpose sure they touched in air pulled by destiny’s bullet her fabric caught in the sureness of a fastball going home across the field of time and the end is up to you for all I felt was the twirl of destiny that still waits the catch They say we always wake up when falling before the final crash through the door and in that swirl of time lit magic dream the important part for me was the dance |

Oh I loved this part... "and in that swirl of time lit magic dream the important part for me was the dance" Well done dreamer girl! The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives. |

and the end is up to you for all I felt was the twirl of destiny that still waits the catch They say we always wake up when falling before the final crash through the door and in that swirl of time lit magic dream the important part for me was the dance I think I know how a fastball feels just after the bat connects... the wind whipping my face until I hang suspended for a long priceless moment before realizing the flight will soon end. For in reading your words I'm transported... flung free from this cubicle and into a Martie-seen world... and the last words bring a wish for another ride. *S* This is incredible, Martie... and I've no doubt whatsoever that she hitched a ride on that speeding bullet and hopped off gracefully just before the ground grabbed the ball. *S* Thank you for this dance. *S* [This message has been edited by suthern (03-12-2002 02:30 PM).] |

Whether the butterfly hits the ball or the ball hits the butterfly it's normally too bad for the butterfly! Love the thought behind this one, Martie. It's not the end, but the journey to the end that's important..the end is normally a bummer |
