Can I dare to dream in my own country To build something from the dust of nothing To slave away from my tears of pain of agony Where everyone wants a piece of the pie of next to nothing Where surviving in business is to get larger and to beat up the small ones Yes let me scrape my dream up from the plate of self destruction Where I keep trying to get ahead to succeed from ashes of bills The taxing truth lies from a government of licenses and limitations Where tax breaks require you to be a giant goliath while David dies I am an American born sinner who wishes the give birth to a business I pray to the powers of destruction to let me survive while I make my mistakes Of being a natural born dreamer needing assistance with the monopoly money Of playing a game I can not win on my own wishes As I succeed in one direction the walls fall down on three others So like a fire gutted building I keep shoring up my love And like the towers of New York I pray to see the light of day For it is not a matter of money but a pride of survival against all the odds I work away from one good paying job to a be born again poor believer While you share you dream with others the building blocks are pulled away For they see your dream in front of your eyes but as soon as you turn They evaporate into private conversations of the fool you are to dream like this Every mistake is compounded by those that want to see failure For if you succeed you made a fool out of them and the whole system Yes you are a fool and the land mines of destruction are all around you And as the pieces of your heart are being torn away Reincarnated plastic molds of determination replace them But some American forces are fighting a cunning game of destruction I can only dream of saviors that will prop me up willing for me to see the light of tomorrow To see my child graduate in our business climate For it is not about the profit of ones self but to see something you believe in triumph Will I survive alone against all the odds of my depression The forces say no for they are not enough believers to carry me But I am an American with a stoned will of determination Who happens to be a Taurus named David And my stone is the simple use of words And what can you do with words Note: Yes, I do have a small business so support some struggling small businesses in your area. This is not directed to my business. Mine is so full of cancer I will soon go down with it. "Will I survive alone against all the odds of my depression The forces say no for they are not enough believers to carry me But I am an American with a stoned will of determination Who happens to be a Taurus named David And my stone is the simple use of words And what can you do with words" BRAVO!!! Oh my gosh, this is fabulous, sweet friend, I just love the wonderful way you write always, I too agree that America is all but one enterprise we all must contribute to, and if we can all support each other, the profit of hope will surmount all inflations that we face! (big hugggssssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, I LOVE IT!!! We all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
