The heart of you

0 posted 2002-03-11 03:50 PM

This is the love I have for you,
A blazing sun in sky of blue,
These diamond stars and fullest moon,
Songs of love sung in choir's tune.

This is the love that's in my heart,
Painted in red, a work of art
With strokes drawn by brush so fine,
This is the love of a lifetime.

It's of love for you that I write
The sun by day and moon by night.
And when ink is gone from this pen,
Hands will write, again and again,

I love you, I love you I do
This is the love I have for you.

What light through yon window breaks?  It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.

This is wonderfully romantic thankyou for sharing it with us. I loved the rythmn you used and the imagery that you managed to capture in this poem.

Oh this is so beautiful! The flow and rythm were just perfect! Thanks for the awesome read!

I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather, not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.
