On the banks of love
I cast my worries with the rod of life
Sparkling in your eyes upon the water
Gentle perfumes of misty memories
Brushed my face of needing me to reel you in

The warmth of the sun reflecting the image of you
In your face of love tanning your warmth into my heart
My line seeks you out in the depth of my needs
To deposit upon your moist lips absorbing me more

As I lay there reflecting upon my inner mist of needs
Your image is formed from the watery ripples that hooked you
In all my strength my rod needed you
As it bents to accommodate you

With the winds brush of hot whispers
We fought for all the tides
In the rough seas of passionate love
And just when I thought I had won the fight
You broke the line sending me back reeling for more

I keep enticing you with more treats
And the battles get longer and more fruitful
Somehow this is a battle I do not mind losing
For your free will, will never need to be captured
And set upon a trophy on a wall

That is why I started to carry a razor blade
To cut the line and set you free if you should ever tire
But my foolish pride has never let me us it
For the battle you give does not require it

For you will always be to one that got away
And I will be the one feeding you the line
That will always need you more
Even now that we share the same sea
Forever in life
