Be it a compulsive drink that you swallow a persistent habit form in which you wallow; continous outpour of funds at the race track constant debt, you pretend you'll pay back: Mom, always there to love her sons know deep down that compulsion has won, try in vain to hold back that needed bet their sons are always in the red,they fret. gambler, drinker, smoker and then some Mom has often shielded these facts from everyone, compulsion guides you through rose coloured lenses constant debts has you jumping over picket fences. (sigh) Oh Martin, this is indeed something that can apply to so many, it can be so hard to keep track of our records in our checkbooks and before we know it, we seem to have more debts than we thought! Lyra, My compulsion too is to continue with the books but its healthier than the aforementioned  Larry, I'm sure it sounds like somebody's parents or grandparents telling you that your Mom will love you unconditionally... |
