time ticks slowly down inching like a snail in a fifty yard dash twenty four hours till takeoff seventy two hours till arrival takeoff, arrive, which one to rejoice lack of sleep approaches critical mass meltdown becomes immenent a roomfull of candles for a moth sensory overload minutes screaming like a freight train mind starts tracking like amtrak from coast to coast and two times more in between will they be there or will they forget? weather time location paperwork shuffled together an aftermath of 52 card pickup do I have everything? can't even remember if my shoelaces are packed jokes laughs dreams ideas smiles so excited I can't tell if I've slept or not seconds pass time stands still all at once twenty four hours to leave seventy two hours to get there and five minutes to get home where's my towel? last minute reminders on things that can be left behind while I go home to see my angel People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid. --Soren Kierkegaard |

I really enjoyed reading this peice of poetry although it seemed to end to quickly. I really loved the line "inching like a snail in a fifty yard dash". Anyway thankyou for sharing such a wonderful peice. Andrew You have been bitten by the Zu bug |

(sigh) Oh James, I think we can all relate to these experiences as we all grow up, I can imagine all the nervous energy I can be drawn upon when I share my first dates with my dream girl!
