~ Vampire Ride ~
Challenge Vampire Love

The Vampire ride, a roller coaster to hell
Left me feeling sick, and extremely unwell
Exciting? Yes, for the first minute or two
But not a love that was honest or true
Lifted up to the sky thinking I’d be free
Before crashing and burning crazily
Never knowing where I was or even who
Left battered and bruised by the likes of you

A roller coaster that wouldn’t let me go
It set my head spinning left me feeling so
Wretched and wrecked and tossed about
With no one to hear my desperate shout
How I was saved from this vampire’s bite?
Is the story of how I found Love’s true light
Bemused and battered I was cast adrift
Then love came and gave my heart a lift

Your vampire love tried to suck me dry
Wanted to destroy me or at least to try
You nearly succeeded in killing me
My soul disappeared almost completely
Sucked into a nightmare where I was lost
Bearing these scars of betrayals cost
No exit, no way out I was bound tight
Banished to ride into hell’s dark night

Then when I thought I’d never be free
I was released from hell love rescued me
Poisoned and weak I was trapped by you
So blind and dizzy that I couldn’t see true
This roller coaster spun me into hell’s pain
I never want to take that ride again
The next time I take a ride it’ll be this
The love boats sailing on heart’s true bliss

Marsha

Marsha I wouldn't get on that thing for a million dollars. Sounds chilling, and you did a great job with the challenge. floria

YAY!!! Oh my gosh, this is sooooooo hauntingly beautiful, sweet friend, I am so happy you had the courage to say in the end you didn't deserve that kind of ride and I hope now you will forever ride the tunnel of love gently with the one your love! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is a wonderful powerful poem! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Wonderfully written, Marsha, darling girl, queen of Love. I will always look to you for the best way, ever, to travel. With Love with HIM! May I respond in poetry?

============================================

No Vampire

No vampires for me; For, I'd rather fly
Travel peacefully through God's open sky
Free as a breeze, doing all as I please
Never in bondage, never jealousy.

Never trapped in pain or lost in sorrow
Loving today, looking to tomorrow
In Love with every warm soul that loves
Singing praises to our God up above.

Joining the angels singing in the choir
No thank you, don't need any dark vampire.

No Vampire

============================================

And yes, I love you, fire of my heart. xo

Marsha,  I think you are a skilled adversary
quite capable of serving your own dish of
hell.....and this is an awesome write....

Marsha - Such a great flow and cadence to all your writes.  Nicely done.

Now about that vampire fellow.  If I see him, I will rip out his fangs and then throw hot tea in his face.  Okay, I better calm down.
