Beneath the raging waves and foam lies a darkened world of ice and cold tidal blasts crash against rocky shores spraying corrosion high in the air though all a bluff Safe on land, two lovers spoon indifferent to the fury churning in watery boundaries below Their love grows and glows in fireside warmth and comfort Savoring moments shared behind the walls that shelter them from life’s sputtering woes In the morning sunshine they walk along the storm cluttered beach hand in hand smiling forever’s collecting sea shell souvenirs to place along the garden path An island paradise all their own A haven of refuge they call home. |

Sweet Dulcy, i would not have a 'home' if not for your goodness; from the first moment you shared this with me, i thought this was an epic piece of writing. Memories are collected in driftup post-storm pieces. Home is not a house nor is it something physical. It resides where feelings take their breaths. ~special huuuggg~ tSR |

tSR, awwwwwwww...thank you sweetheart! I know we talked about the poem, and I was glad you liked it. You saw the message behind the scenery ~grin~ doreen, What can I say? There is nothing like cuddling with someone you love on a stormy night! ~wink~ Home is where the heart is, that is so true a saying and what inspired the poem, thank you so much! RSWells, symbols are always more understandable than language and seem to convey the meaning in a way that never fails to be understood by the heart and mind. Thank you so much! |
