Her ample bottom Filled the stool She had been sitting on For a couple of hours now Pounding down drinks That showed in her glazed eyes And slight slur when she spoke. She rose to weave just slightly When taking the first steps Towards the ladies room In an effort to make room For another round or two Hoping to anesthetize the pain Of too many bad choices in men Too few hopes for another I watched her return a few minutes later And the top two buttons of her blouse No longer restricted the view Of the tops of her ample breasts And knew she was serious now about Finding the ticket for tonight’s slap and tickle fest I drained my beer, Ordered another And turned away I wasn’t hunting this time And time was not hunting me |
