Awake and shivering I knew it was over exposure. Tendrils of that dream Must have wedged opened a window Letting the frigid veins of air Freeze exposed places in my heart. The dream itself was warm enough. Its sensual windings Climbed the heights of my resolve As it crept over walls built eons ago In efforts to keep hordes of feelings From overwhelming. Vining itself into chinks of sealed chambers The icy fingers of now found ways to Touch places not meant for exposure. And I am left shaking Trying to find warmth Overexposed |

Whoa! I loved it, Ron. Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |

Thrilling!! Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

CPatHair~ The idea of a dream-thought symetrically spread against a wall is a uniquely-turned avenue of poetry~ I greatly enjoyed the use of word-imagery to convey those feelings~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Perhaps it is my overworked imagination [can imagination be overworked? I must think on that...] but somehow I saw this written for Sleeping Beauty...just to let her know how difficult it was to get to her for the awakening...never mind me...my mind is fanciful this afternoon... |

Ron Sometimes in dreams we are left open, like innocence. I liked this honest reflection into feeling from you. |
