She must have been an angel For them to honour her this way A life unnecessarily taken For she was unable to stay I wonder what she looked like I try to build a picture in my mind But I feel so very certain Her heart and soul were so very kind She was too good for this world And was needed elsewhere The sorrow and grief Must be so hard to bear A red rose is painted in her honour A place where loved ones can release This child who was so cruelly taken Had been given the name Elise Every day I pass this shrine Where her life came to an end I sometimes see her mother How could her heart possibly mend? She tends to all the flowers Left in memory of the one she loved As she desperately seeks answers From the heavens up above Your angel now has wings And not a day this life brings When you don't feel that she's near And you wish she were here It just wasn't to be Although none of us could see How such a tragedy came to be? May you rest in peace Elise * * * * Just near where I live there is a red rose painted beautifully on a telegraph pole with the name Elise written underneath.Fresh flowers adorn the nearby street sign and I pass by this sight nearly every day. I felt so touched by these images that I felt the need to write this. I am going to print up a copy and leave it amongst the flowers in the hope that my words might do justice to an angel named Elise whom I never had the privilege of meeting. Suetang |

(BIG HUGGGSSSSSSSS) God Bless You, sweet friend, you have one of the most loving hearts I know, I know deep down from the bottom of my heart that she must feel so happy for the wonderful words you have written her and that when the time is right you will see her someday up above and the beautiful angel she'll forever be like you are to us all! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this poem is as beautiful as the red rose you gave her! You have such a loving and compassionate heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Ah Sue, beautiful, touching poem and here too there are far too many of these signs painted along our highways and roads. Good reminder for people to perhaps slow down too. ~* If I made you "feel" anything at all today, that makes me smile *~ |

Oh Sue, I do hope you take this and put it where the mother might see it...for some reason, I feel there is more to the story than you have shared here, and if you were to ever find out, I imagine, and I hope, you find a way to tell us, poetically... from reality comes the best lessons... |

SueTang~ Such a lovely, lovely gesture~ I can share that I've been touched by leaving a poetic message at one of these memorial sites ... the family shared the story of their loss with me ... and a friendship was formed~ I hope you get to meet the family of Elise~ For surely that is the name of an angel~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Such a sad story but a very loving gesture on your part Sue. Yes, perhaps the family can find some comfort in your words. A lovely tribute indeed. ~Hugs, Nancy~ ~Time has cast a spell on you, |

Thank you all for reading this piece. As I said, I pass by here nearly every day and when something tugs at my heart strings such as this I just feel the need to write about it. Take care......Sue Suetang |
