Friendly greeting: "come right on in, I'll take your coat" as opposed to "what do you want", on an unpleasant note challenges to maintain courtesies, show manners, meeting a populace that rushes and swings hammers; still polite to stand and give up a seat when elderly persons cannot stand long on their feet? polite to invite older relatives that live alone? a courtesy call is apt to make them feel at home. remember that youth always peels away to old age courtesies you give, will pay off at a later stage; help a blind person find access to the nearest bus stop its unlikely they'll stop to ask directions from a cop. refrain from being influenced by the lack of education around many kids today find courtesies expedient and frown the idea of being polite and giving up a seat is not always applied when they run around their beat.
