Close your eyes my darling and listen to the balladeer; imagine I am with you and you can hold me near. He might sing a hurtin’ song of struggles and hardship he might tell the tragic story of a long since sunken ship. Next might be a travelin’ song perhaps a history or two; and he has found many ways of singing “I Love You” Whatever he is singing has the same effect on me I feel like I am close to you when I hear him sing, you see. I know that were I with you while we listened to each song I would hold your hand my dear as I softly sang along. So Darling close your eyes, when you hear the balladeer and I'll be right there with you and you can hold me near. [This message has been edited by janmew (03-03-2002 12:49 PM).] |

Ummm.... to clear up any missinderstandings, this is not about the person here who uses the ID Balladeer. I just noticed that was a user on here. Oops. The actual balladeer referred to in this piece is Gordon Lightfoot... a favourite singer of my Love and I. [This message has been edited by janmew (03-03-2002 12:51 PM).] |

(smiles) Oooohhhhhh... I love Gordon Lightfoot's music too, this is sooooooo beautiful! (kiss on cheek) My favorite songs are his travelling ones, they always make me feel like singing along with him and I envision the journies in my head as he sings his lyrics! We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is wonderful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jan, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

hehehe funny.. it would fit in either interpretation, as both artists are astoundingly good at what they do, and the stories of love they tell God alone is alone. Man is not. |

Oft'times come the poet or the poetess who would in recollect praise the very best how many stories have we seen? how many moons cast their beams? how many times how many more will Balladeer seek Passion's door? How many times? it matters not! as long as his poetry is not forgot... Well done Janmew! |

Jan this is an excellent piece from you. I’m sure that this could equally reflect the talent and the wonder that this tribute brings to mind. I don’t know Mr. Gordon Lightfoot’s work but if he’s anywhere near half as good as ’Deer then he must be superb. Fabulous writing really great work Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |
